Lahore : Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has strongly condemned the suggestion from a PTI MNA parliament for linking the Qibla e Awal with the Zionists and proposing the recognition of Israel.

Speaking at the JI Ijtema at Gujrat, he called upon the government to immediately clarify its stance on the sensitive issue. He termed the idea a negation of the Muslim world’s 1400 years old stance on Baitul Maqdis, and said the suggestion had hurt the sentiments of the entire Muslim Ummah.

Sirajul Haq said the PTI woman member Asma Hadeed, was either totally ignorant of the Islamic teachings or the government was deliberately advancing the foreign agenda in this regard.

Sirajul Haq said that the Qadyanis’ protection in different institutions on one hand and the proposal for Israel’s recognition on the other hand, was not a mere coincidence and seemed to be the “Deal of the Century”, at international level and aimed at recognition of the illegal Zionist state by eviction of the Palestinians from their lands., and further division in the Muslim world.

He said that the Pakistani nation stood by the Palestinians as the Pakistanis firmly believed that the Qibla e AwwaL would be free one day. He counseled the government to give up the idea of recognition of Israel and instead give full attention to the fulfillment of its election promises.
