Fizza Batool tells the students how to get NTN and E-filing

Lahore : Punjab University in collaboration with Taxpayers Facilitation Zone Regional Tax Office-II Lahore has organized an awareness seminar at Al-Raazi Hall.

Punjab University Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan, keynote speaker from HRM, Regional Tax Office-II Ms Fizza Batool, Deputy Treasurer Tasleem Kamran and employees were present on the occasion.

In her lecture Ms Fizza said that we aimed at sensitizing the people for filing of income tax return. She said that main purpose of the seminar was to educate the taxpayers how to get NTN and E-filing.

She told about the requirements needed for the registration to be filer and further briefed that who is liable to pay the tax. She said that the benefits of being filers verses non filers are that filers will pay less than the non filers to buy their desirable product.

She said according to the rule if you are a filer, you have to file the returns for last 5 years and if you are non filer you have to file the return for last 10 years. She said that we are working on recommendations regarding returning of files and will make more reforms in this regard.
