Lahore : Chief minister punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar inspected excise & taxation service centre at the DHA without any protocol.
The citizens were surprised to see chief minister around who went there without protocol and inspected different sections of the centre. Various people apprised him about problems relating to transfer of vehicles.
The chief minister issued directions for early solution of their problems. A former officer complained about transfer form.
The chief minister directed that availability of transfer form in every office should be ensured to facilitate the people adding that he will initiate steps to improve the system and vehicles transfer system will be further improved.
He asked the officials that your SOP should be to facilitate the people instead of creating any hurdle. Now this won’t work as I am monitoring the problems of the people by conducting surprise visits and public dealing departments will have to produce results, he added. My heart beats with the people and problems of the people are my own. Provision of facilities is responsibility of concerned departments. I shall not sit idle till the provision of facilities to the citizens in the offices.
He said that vehicles record should be under one roof so that citizens may not have to visit the offices again and again. The problems faced by the citizens with regard to vehicles documents should be solved early and release of number plates of the vehicles should also be ensured at the earliest. Some citizens informed that this centre is working good and they have no complaint.
The chief minister also asked about problems of the service centre staff. He was informed about non availability of vehicle. The chief minister directed to immediately provide the vehicle to the service centre and added that problem of installation of AC should also be solved. The citizens during their conversation with the chief minister said that you are a genuine servant to the people who has come to this office without any protocol or intimation while the earlier one was like the king.
They also expressed their good wishes for the chief minister. Provincial advisor Akram Ch. was also present on the occasion.
