Lahore : The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday approved graft probe against incumbent defence minister Pervaiz Khattak.
However, no further details in this regard were stated in the press release.
The country’s premier accountability body has also approved 14 inquiries against Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani ,former additional chief secretary KPK Khalid Pervaiz , MD Tourism KPK Mushtaq Khan ,Iqbal Z Ahmad , Yosaf Jameel Ansari , DG Sindh Building Control Authority Iftikhar Qaimkhani , Mayor Karachi Waseem Ahmad ,former advisor to CM Sindh Imtiaz Mallah , Dilawar Hussain Memonand others. 3 investigations were also approved against VC GC University Faisalabad Dr Shahid Mehboob and DG office finance Quetta Ali Gul Kurd.
As per details garnered, NAB chairman Javed Iqbal presided over an extraordinary huddle of executive board here in Islamabad today.
While addressing the participants, Iqbal termed taking all pending cases to their logical end as the foremost priority of the anti-graft watchdog. He also urged not to turn a blind eye towards merit-based probe.
