Lahore : Punjab chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar presided over the parliamentary party meeting of PTI and PML-Q, here today.
Senior minister Abdul Aleem Khan, law minister Raja Basharat, provincial ministers and MPAs attended the meeting. The meeting reposed full confidence over PTI backed presidential candidate Arif Alvi.
The parliamentary party members vowed to succeed Arif Alvi with majority. The chief minister Usman Buzdar said that Arif Alvi is a fine person and the parliamentary party members will make Arif Alvi to succeed with their votes. He said that he is thankful to the assembly members for their trust and the presidential election will also be won. He said that becoming of a respectable personality like Dr. Arif Alvi as the president would be a matter of pride and PTI would fulfill the change agenda in the country.
The chief minister said that his doors are always open to the assembly members. The first phase of the cabinet has been completed and the second phase will be completed in next few days, he said. He said that every district will be given representation in the cabinet. Your honor is my honor. I am not the chief minister but all of my assembly members are the chief ministers, he concluded.
Senior minister Abdul Aleem khan said that we have to promote positive democratic norms and to make punjab a role model province according to the vision of Imran Khan. He said that ban has been imposed on new tendering of local bodies.
The meeting was also told about voting procedure of the presidential election.
