Chief Justice takes suo moto on DPO Pakpattan transfer

Lahore : Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr Justice Saqib Nisar has taken notice of the transfer of DPO Pakpattan Rizwan Omar Gondal. The CJP expressed displeasure upon issuing transfer orders late at night stating that why not IG waited for morning.

Mr Justice Saqib Nisar directed DPO and RPO to submit their affidavits and called Khawar Manika Ibrahim Manika and Jameel Gujjar to appear before the court on Monday. He said why the DPO was asked to tender apology at the dera of Khawar Manika ? Transfer order on the desire upon CM or any other was not acceptable . One more CM may be disqualified under 62-1 F, the chief justice observed.

We are determined to make police an independent organization where no political interference would be seen, the CJP added .
