PHF condoles the death of veteran athlete Muhammad Fazil

Lahore : President Pakistan Hockey Federation, Brigadier (rtd) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar and Secretary General PHF, Shahbaz Ahmad  have expressed their grief over the passing away of veteran athlete Muhammad Fazil.
 
Late Fazil, who was 92 at the time of his death, participated at the 1952 Olympics.
He was a member of Pakistan’s 4 x 100 metre relay team which reached the semi finals.

President and the Secretary General prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul with eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
Meanwhile ; Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow on the demise of Pakistan Olympian Raja Fazil, who breathed his last in Rawalpindi on Monday. He was 92.In his condolence message on Wednesday, Secretary Sports Punjab Aamir Jan prayed that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace. He also expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family and prayed to Allah Almighty to grant courage to them to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.

Fazil was part of 38-member Pakistan contingent which participated in Helsinki, Finland Olympics in 1952. He together with M Sharif, Abdul Aziz and M Aslam represented Pakistan in 400×100 relay race.

Secretary Sports Punjab Aamir Jan also condoled the death of former hockey player Raza Al-Mustafa, who was killed during an armed robbery in South African city of Johannesburg.
