The real challenge is to win the 2018 elections : Maulana Fazal ur Rehman

Lahore : Mutahidda Majlis e Amal (MMA) President Maulana Fazal ur Rehman said at the historic Minar e Pakistan grounds Sunday evening that the real challenge before the MMA was to win the 2018 elections.

“We had not accepted the leadership of secular and pro-US rulers in the past nor would do so in the future,” he declared. “We resolve to make Pakistan a true Islam, welfare state”, he added.

He said that for the last seventy years, secular people had been in power and the Minar e Pakistan was a witness to that.

He said that the Muslim Ummah was being made the fodder of the war. The Ummah had to face bloodshed in Iraq and Afghanistan. He said that conspiracies were being hatched for a war between Saudi Arabia and Iran and to divide the Ummah.

He said that the powers which talked about human rights themselves violated the human rights. He said that as long as the human rights were not secure, peace could not be ensured.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that Pakistan was not free as its economy and policies were being framed by the IMF and the World Bank. He said the UN wanted to establish its hold over the parliament and the politics of this country.

Ameer, Jamaat e islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, said at the mammoth gathering at the MMA public meeting that the Minar e Pakistan and the minarets of the Badshahi mosque were demanding an Islamic Pakistan and not a New Pakistan.

He said the nation had not seen the Islamic system for a single day during the last  seventy years. He said the MMA wanted to establish the Islamic system in the country. “ We would fight for the Islamic system till the last blood in our body”, he said.

He said that the formation of the religious alliance had greatly upset the secular forces. He said the MMA was at war with poverty, illiteracy and unemployment, tyranny and injustice.

He said, our war is not against two families. He said that more than one billion dollars owned by two families of the country was lying in Britain. He said these families had only been amassing  wealth. On the other hand, he said, the army generals from Ayub Khan till Pervez Musharraf had been forming their own Muslim leagues.

Sirajul Haq saluted Turkish Leader Recep Teyyeb Erdogan for his bold policies. He also expressed satisfaction over the election of Mahatir Muhammad in Malaysia. He  said that Turkey, Malaysia and Pakistan could jointly strive for the liberation of Kashmir and Palestine.

He said it was a pity that Islamabad was just like graveyard and the rulers there had no guts to raise their voice against the bloodshed going on Kashmir, Syria and Palestine.

The JI chief the JI and the MMA wanted to open the door of the assemblies to the poor.

He said that the statements of Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan had created about the elections and ended the public confidence in the polls.

Chief of  the Jamaat e Islami, Khyber P. K. Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, while addressing the mammoth gathering at the Minar e Pakistan, Sunday afternoon, congratulated the MMA leadership for initiating the process to build the country as the Pakistan of Nizam e Mustafa.

He said that Pakistan had unlimited natural resources of men and material. He said if the country was facing energy shortage, lawlessness and terrorism, US slavery and heavy foreign debt, the responsibility lay with the ruling junta which had been plundering national wealth and transferring it abroad.

The JI Senator said that the government wanted to release CIA agent Shakil Afridi and Col Joseph but warned that whoever made such an attempt would have to face public wrath.

Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan said that the ea of the Ghulaman e Mustafa had begun and the agents of the US, and secularism were already unnerved.

JUI central leader and former Deputy Chairman of the Senate, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, said that lakhs of people had sacrificed their lives for the creation of Pakistan. However, he said, the situation today was around twenty million children of school going age were out of the schools. On the other hand, he said, almost five million children were studying in  madrissahs whom some so called intellectuals termed as factories dishing out illiterate people. He said that the rulers had plundered public money, ruined the country’s economy and burdened the country under heavy foreign debt.

Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri termed the grand Ijtema as referendum by the people of Lahore in favor of the MMA. He said that secularism and liberalism would not be allowed to run the country and the MMA would stand in the way of the people pursuing foreign agenda.

Sahibzada Shah Muhammad Awais Noorani in his address, said that the building Pakistan as the Islamic, democratic and welfare state was MMA’s primary objective. He said the  religious leadership was fighting against secular forces and the nation should stand behind it.

He said that the Pakistan resolution had been adopted at this Minare Pakistan 78 years ago and our forefathers had achieved this country on the slogan of La Ilaha Illalah. He said the same spirit was needed now.  He said there was US hand behind terrorism in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.

MMA deputy chief Allama Syed Sajid Naqvi, in his address, said that the country was facing conspiracies by the colonial powers. He said the MMA wanted the liberation of Palestine and Kashmir. He condemned US action against Iran. He said the MMA would establish the rule of the law and the constitution and abolish the class based education system.

MMA Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, said that the 2018 elections would be a turning  point in the country’s history and the MMA was destined to win the polls. He said that those who came to power after 200 and 2013 elections had crated numerous problems for the country. He said that the politicians changing politics and slogans had only been deceiving the nation. He declared that the MMA would protect all the constitutional rights of the minorities. He said that the

Islamic Tehrik central leader Allama Arif Husain Wahidi, said that the secular forces wanted to wipe out the Islamic character of the country and added that the MMA would free the country from the hold of the secular elements who were agents of the western powers. He said that the country would soon be under the Nizam e Mustafa and the Nizam e Quran, which would help solve the problems of the Ummah including the Kashmir and Palestine issues.

Bilal Qudrat Butt also addressed the moot.

Rana Shafiq Ahmed Pasroori said that the Minar e Pakistan stood upright against the conspiracies of the US, India and Israel and gave the message that only Islam would rule this country.  He deplored that dirty politics was going on in the country and a disqualified person was speaking the language of India against the state institutions while the daughters of the nation were being made to dance in public meetings.

MMA deputy chief Pir Ejaz Hashmi said that a past ruler had challenged the religious leadership but he had now fled the country and could not even dream of returning to the country. He said the abolishment of the interest based system would automatically end the hold of the Zionists and secular forces in the country.
