Motorway Police arrested two criminals carrying stolen wire of WAPDA

Lahore : National Highways & Motorway Police, Central Zone has recovered stolen electric meters, electric and general electric wires of WAPDA along with Mazda Truck worth more than 05 lac rupees and arrested two culprits on national highways.

As per details, during routine patrolling on Beat 18 Motorway Police officers PO Muhammed Imran and PO Shabir Khan observed a Mazda Mini Truck who continuous using second lane and hiding himself from NH&MP patrolling mobile deliberately .

The patrolling officers stopped said truck on national highways and interrogated the driver who confessed they had stolen these wires and electric equipment from WAPDA Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) Kabirwala office.

Motorway Police took the truck into its custody and arrested two culprits namely Shahid son of Muhammad Aslam and Waseem Rabbani resident of Faisalabad.

Meanwhile a team of FIA also reached on spot and informed the motorway police officers these culprits are wanted to Federal Investigation Agency.

On the directions of Sector Commander / SSP Ghulam Jaffer, arrested culprit along with the recovered articles handed over to the FIA for further legal action and investigation in the presence of the complainant.

Zonal Commander DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik has appreciated the professionalism and bravery performance of patrolling officer.
