Lahore : Two unique cases of kidneys’ transplant has successfully been completed in which doctors’ team headed by Professor of Urology Dr. Muhammad Nazir undertook this task.
In these cases mother of one child donated her kidney to husband while in other case a brother gave his kidney to younger sister. Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute Prof. Dr. Ghias un Nabi Tayyab has congratulated all the doctors and paramedical staff on opting new procedures and said that day to day innovations have made it possible to provide modern and best possible treatment to the patients.
He said that we are proud of our doctors and staff who work day and night to extend latest technology and treatment to the patients coming from all over the Punjab and add better name for the Institution.
Prof. Ghias un Nabi Tayyab stressed the need to create awareness among masses like developed countries to donate body organs in the larger interest of humanity.
As per details 40 years old Mohammed Nazir of Bahawalnagar was donated kidney by his 35 years old Razia while 23 years old Sobia was given kidney by her 33 years old brother Nadeem.
Razia said that she is happy on this step as she tried to save life partner who is other wheel of her life vehicle. Similarly, Sobia said that her brother has set new example of sacrifice by donating an important part of the body which resulted to give her new life. Both families were thankful to Allah Almighty and the administration of Lahore General Hospital.
Operation team who took part in transplant of kidneys were comprising upon Asst. Prof. Dr. Shah Jahan, Dr. Kamran Zaidi, Dr. Ejaz Siddique, Dr. Sohail Hassan, Dr. Qamar Zaman and Dr. Mohammed Shahid. Professor of Urology Dr. Mohammed Nazir said that patients of kidneys and gallbladder can contact from morning to 8.00 pm where Consultant is available.
He said that modern and latest medical facilities are available with new procedures which also resulting in increasing number of patients. He asked the patients to avoid quacks and contact proper doctors so that they can avail the health facilities of Punjab Government.
