Lahore : Spokesman Punjab government Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan has said that arrest of former Director General LDA Ahad Khan Cheema by NAB is beyond its power. There are hundreds of examples that those who did not appear before NAB upon issuance of summon were not arrested.
He said that administrative machinery in Punjab is perturbed over arrest of senior government officer in deviation of rules. He further maintained that arrest of Ahad Khan Cheema is injustice with dutiful and hard working officer.
He said that public matters could be affected due to unrest in government machinery. An impression of victimization rediculation of any person should not be created due to steps taken by NAB.
He expressed the hope that journey of government’s development will continue with the same speed.
