Kashmala Tariq appointed as women ombudsperson

Lahore : Kashmala Tariq has been appointed as a federal ombudsperson for a period of four years. According to a notification of the Ministry of Law and Justice she would deal the cases of Harassment of Women at the Workplace.

Kashmala Tariq is a Pakistani politician who served as member of the National Assembly of Pakistan.

She was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) on a seat reserved for women from Punjab in the Pakistani general election, 2002

She was re-elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) on a seat reserved for women from Punjab in the Pakistani general election, 2008.

Before joining politics she worked for Mandviwala & Zafar law firm where she practiced Corporate and commercial Law. She studied In Punjab University Law School for her L.L.B and she got her master’s degree L.L.M from London School of Economics and Political Science.

She is a lawyer by profession and is running her own law chamber named as “Kashmala & Associates”.
