Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif visited the residence of Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan, MNA in Lambay Jagir, Phoolnagar, today.
He condoled the death of Rana Muhammad Nisar Khan, father of Members National Assembly Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan and Rana Muhammad Ishaq Khan, paternal uncle of Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan and paternal grandfather of Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan Chairman District Council Kasur.
He expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and offered Fateha for the departed soul. The Chief Minister said that Late Rana Muhammad Nisar Khan served the people of the area dedicatedly and his socio-economic services will be remembered till lately.
He was a popular figure who will always be missed. I am deeply saddened over his death and I pray to Almighty Allah to grant courage to all of you to bear the loss with equanimity, concluded the Chief Minister.
Shahbaz Sharif also went to the residence of famous lawyer and former President Supreme Court Bar Association Asma Jehangir. He expressed heartfelt condolence with the bereaved family and offered Fateha for the departed soul. The Chief Minister paid tributes to her services for maintaining rule of law and supremacy of the constitution in the country.
He said that Late Asma Jehangir made practical efforts for protection of rights of the women and other vulnerable communities. She also played important role in the movement for independent judiciary.
Late Asma Jehangir strived all her life for the protection of human rights and her services in the field of law and human rights will be remembered till lately, concluded the Chief Minister.
