Steps to be taken to vacate occupied land of housing dept

Lahore : Solid steps will be taken to vacate the occupied land of housing departments at different places.

 Senator Maulana Tanveer-ul-Haq Thanvi said this while presiding over a meeting of Senate Standing Committee for Housing and Works at Chamba House, on Tuesday.

He said the rest houses, situated at different places and under the use of Housing and Works would be used on commercial basis to make it a source of income for the department.

Funds would be issued separately for development and non-development works of Housing and Works, he added.

Housing and Works Secretary Babar Hassan and PWD Chief Engineer Malik Nazir gave detailed briefing about the lands of the Housing and Works.

The meeting was attended by Senator Khalida Parveen, Nauman Wazir Khattak and others.
