Khalil Tahir Sandhu called on Federal Minister Mumtaz Ahmed Tarar

Lahore : Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu called on Federal Minister Human Rights Chaudhary Mumtaz Ahmed Tarar, today at his camp office. Minister Human Rights welcomed the federal Minister in Punjab and highlighted the initiatives taken by Punjab Government for Human Rights and Minorities.

Khalil Tahir Sandhu said that due to special interest by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Task Force performing a unique role throughout the Punjab to protect basic Human Rights. I am the permanent member of United Nation for Human Rights and recently participated in Geneva in a Convention, he added.

Khalil Tahir Sandhu said that the Punjab Government is fully aware of its international obligations and Ministry for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs is looking very closely to the various Acts and legislations such as torture, capital punishment, women’s rights and child abuse.

Khalil Tahir Sandhu said that Punjab Government wished work together with all provinces to eliminate violation of Human Rights and we have to work together to safeguard our society as well our children.

The Federal Minister Chaudhary Mumtaz Ahmed appreciated the initiatives taken by the Punjab Government for protection of Human Rights as well for Minorities.

He assured to provincial minister that he will perform his role to work together all over the Pakistan. He said that it is need of hour to move forward for peace and Harmony in all over the country.
