Lahore : Punjab curriculum and textbook board authority has refused to include traffic rules awareness , awareness about adulterated food and awareness about 36 infectious diseases in the curriculum of public schools .
Young Doctors have strongly condemned the authority and said that director manuscript and director curriculum wing had discarded the recommendations of traffic police , Punjab food authority and young doctors to include awareness on traffic police rules , adulterated food and 36 infectious diseases awareness in the curriculum of public schools .
YDA Pakistan Secretary Dr Salman Kazmi added that directors were opposing the initiative because they were not getting any benefit out of this initiative .
YDA said that thousands of people were dying due to traffic accidents , hundreds were acquiring cancer due to adulterated food and fake drinks and thousands were dying due to infectious diseases but PCTB officials were least bothered about it probably because they did not consider themselves a part of the public ,
YDA pakistan has appealed to the Punjab chief minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of the situation .
