Minister for Food, Bilal Yaseen sealed “Sun Bread” factory On finding unhygienic conditions

Lahore : A special team of Punjab Food Authority led by Provincial Minister for Food, Bilal Yaseen paid a surprise visit to Sheikhupura early in the morning today and inspected various food factories, food points, bakeries and slaughter house. On finding unhygienic conditions “Sun Bread” factory was immediately sealed by the team.

The Minister while showing his displeasure strictly warned
the management of “Sun Bread” to make sure hygienic atmosphere in the factory.

“The Punjab Government was fully committed for provision of standard food items to the general masses and all concerned government departments including Punjab Food Authority were working day and night to achieve the goal”, he said.

Bilal Yaseen further added that actions taken by the government
have communicated strong message to the food points that they should not even think of playing with the health of consumers.

In the meanwhile, Minister Food inspected the slaughter house situated at Bhikki road and expressed his dissatisfaction on poor hygienic condition. He directed the management of
slaughter house to make sure uniform for all butchers. “There must be check and balance on timings of the slaughter house to provide quality meat”, he further directed.
