Muhammad Hafeez fails to impress ICC

Lahore : International Cricket Council has banned Muhammad Hafeez to bowl in international match after receiving his biometric test.

The off-spinner has been suspended from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect.

The report revealed that Muhammad Hafeez miserably failed to pass the test as his all bowls were declared illegal. The assessment revealed that the majority of his deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the regulations.

ICC has shared the report with Pakistan Cricket Board. The allrounder’s bowling action marked suspected in 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka.

Hafeez’s international suspension will also be recognised and enforced by all National Cricket Federations for domestic cricket events played in their own jurisdiction. However, pursuant to Article 11.5 of the Regulations and with the consent of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Hafeez may be able to bowl in domestic cricket events played under the auspices of the PCB.

Muhammad Hafeez may lost his place after ban on his bowling as young emerging players performance was much better as compared to Hafeez’s batting performance. He was securing place in National Squad due to his allrounder position.
