Asian chess champion Mehmood Ahmed Lodhi called on Secretary Sports Punjab

Lahore : Asian chess champion Mehmood Ahmed Lodhi called on Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan in his office at National Hockey Stadium on Monday.

Head of Cricket Coaching Academies Sports Board Punjab (SBP) Zaheer Abbas and Director Admin Javed Rasheed Chohan were also present on this occasion.

During the meeting, Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan congratulated the chess master Mehmood Lodhi on winning Asian Senior Chess Championship in Auckland, New Zealand in recent weeks.

“After winning numerous international titles, Lodhi has turned out to be a legend for the young generation. The entire nation is proud of Lodhi’s accomplishments,” he added.

Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan said: “Sports Board Punjab has always extended every kind of cooperation to Mehmood Lodhi and we will continue this practice in future as well”.

Lodhi, who featured in the Asian Senior Chess Championship with the cooperation of Sports Board Punjab, has already clinched several international titles during his illustrious career.

Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan hoped that Mehmood Lodhi will win more laurels for the country in future.
