Punjab Govt terminates Khawar Ikram Bhatti on slapping Police Inspector

Lahore : Punjab Govt has terminated Additional Advocate General Khawar Ikram Bhatti on slapping a Police Inspector at NAB court on the appearance date of Maryam Nawaz and her husband Capt (R) Muhammad Safdar a few days back on 13th of October.

Law and Parliamentary Affairs department has issued notification in this regard.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and has ordered probe to find facts in this matter.

The judges of accountability court  adjourned the hearing of NAB references against ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz and his son-in-law Capt (r) Safdar after lawyers’ clash with security officers in judicial complex.

A scuffle erupted when security personnel barred lawyers and PML-N leaders from entering the court after which the judges along with Justice Muhammad Bashir expressed resentment and left the court without hearing.
