Pakistan movement worker Fatima Sughra passed away

Lahore : Pakistan movement worker Fatima Sughra who replaced Union Jack with green flag at Civil Secretariat Lahore during independence movement in 1947 passed away today .

Her funeral was attended by a large number of people ,offered at Johar Town and later she was laid to rest in the local graveyard.

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of Fatima Sughra, a renowned activist and Gold Medalist of Pakistan Movement.

In his condolence message, the Chief Minister paid rich tributes to the services of Fatima Sughra in Pakistan Movement and said that Fatima Sughra was very active in Pakistan Movement and her services for the creation of Pakistan cannot be forgotten. Her services in movement for the creation of Pakistan will be remembered for a long time.

He expressed heartfelt sympathies and condolences with the bereaved family and prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
