CM notice self-immolation attempt against police

Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of news of self-immolation attempt by a person in the limit of Police Station Athara Hazari, Jhang and sought a report from DPO Jhang.

The Chief Minister has ordered investigation into the incident. He took strict notice of non-registration of FIR by police of the person who attempted self-immolation and suspended DSP Sadar Tahir Khitchi and SHO Police Station Athara Hazari Inspector Ghulam Abbas.

He also directed the administration that best treatment facilities should be provided to the affected person.

Meanwhile ; IGP Punjab Capt (r) Arif Nawaz has suspended DSP Sadr Jhang OSD and SHO Police Station Athara Hazari .
