Punjab Food Authority sealed Nirvana Cafe in DHA

Lahore : Punjab Food Authority is continuing crackdown for ensuring provision of hygienic and quality food to the people.

In this connection, Nirvana Cafe in DHA has been sealed in a raid on using cosmetic colours, expired and used oil, use of expired coconut in milk, dirty freezer, improper arrangements to finish pests, using ornaments while doing work, non printing of manufacturing and expiry date on items.

Punjab Food Authority has also imposed a fine of Rs.50 thousand during raid on Ashyan Foods and Chohan Foods on using dirty racks for saving raw material, using artificial flavors, non disposal of oil according to the policy, on keeping waste and prepared material together, improper arrangements to clean machines and not washing of hands.

K&S Foods Pvt. Ltd Ferozpur Road, Five Star Nan Shop, Ayesha Foods and Kolson Snack Manufacturing Unit Sundar Industrial Estate were issued instructions for further improvement during inspection and notices were issued regarding improper physical cleanliness of workers, take proper arrangements for pesticide, keep prepared and raw food separately and getting immediate e-licenses.
