Nawaz Sharif trying to break the mirror showing his true face : Siraj ul Haq

Lahore : Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Siraj ul Haq, has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, instead of washing off corruption from his face, was trying to break the mirror showing his true self but this would be a futile endeavour.

Addressing workers convention at Bahawal Nagar on Tuesday, he counseled the Premier to nominate someone from his party as Prime Minister and surrender himself before the Supreme Court. He further said it would be unwise on the part of the Prime Minister to go head for confrontation with the institutions and to trample upon the law and the constitution.

Siraj ul Haq said the ruling family desired that the corruption case against them was kept pending  till the Doomsday. However, he said, this was not possible as the case was going to be decided very soon and the entire nation was anxiously awaiting its decision.

He said it was unfortunate that the Prime Minister did not step down after the appearance of his family’s name in the Panama Leaks nor did he thought of that after the Supreme Court constituted the JIT for further investigation.  He said that every page of the JIT report told a tale of the ruling family’s  corruption.

Siraj ul Haq said that the ruling family was in the grip of Allah Almighty but it was looking up to the colonial powers for help while it should have begged forgiveness from Allah Almighty and also tendered an apology before the nation.

He said that whatever the Supreme Court decision, the nation would stand fully behind that and nobody would have the courage to  look at the Court or other institutions with a malignant eye.

Siraj ul Haq also appealed the nation to masses to review their electoral behavior, stop voting for the thugs and dacoits and instead elect JI’s candidates who were known for their honesty and competence.

JI Punjab chief Mian Maqsood Ahmed speaking on the occasion, said that the rulers had been openly ridiculing divine injunctions. He said the nation which had offered huge sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan but they were being denied basic facilities of life whereas the corrupt elite rolled in wealth. .

He said that from the day Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif hosted Indian Premier Modi at his  personal guest, Modi had become more aggressive in shedding the Kashmiris blood.

He further said that the people who were afflicted with the disease of corruption became cowards and that was why Dr Aafia Siddiqi was handed over to the US.
