All departments to ensure 100% utilization of development funds : DC Hafiz Shaukat Ali

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : The Deputy Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali has directed heads of all district government departments to ensure 100% utilization of development funds within current financial year and complete ongoing development schemes in their scheduled time.

He was presiding over a meeting to review pace of development works at his office the other day. ADC (Revenue) Afzaal Warriach, Additional Director Livestock Dr Mumtaz Beg, Deputy Director Local Government Imtiaz Cheema, Deputy Director Agriculture Ali Sher Nasir, Baldia Chief Officer Babar Bashir Tarar, Fiyaz Ahmed Warriach and other government officials attended the meeting.

Hafiz Shaukat Ali directed the officers to put joint and cooperated efforts to achieve development objectives to facilitate public. He also asked the participants to spend their full energies to take appropriate measures for maintaining balance in demand and supply of commodity items in Ramzan Bazars and open market.

There should be no shortage of essential commodities in the bazaars, and prices must be kept under control to facilitate believers to observe fasting in the blessed month of Ramadan. Price control magistrates should continue exercising vigilance in their respective areas and deal with those found overcharging customers.

Addressing the revenue officers he said they should also focus on hitting revenue recovery targets before the set red line.
