Shahbaz Sharif to talk to Chinese for Purple Train in Lahore

Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high level meeting here today which reviewed matters regarding the visit of Chief Minister to China and holding international conference in connection with business opportunities in Punjab.

The Chief Minister will leave for China on May12 where he will participate in one belt one road conference. He will also meet Chinese leadership and other leaders of China.

During his visit, Shahbaz Sharif will hold meetings with Chinese Investors, Industrialists and officials of different companies while he will also call on heads of financial institutions and officials of energy companies. Agreements of cooperation in different sectors will be signed between Punjab government and China during the visit.He will talk to Chinese Bank authorities to fund for Lahore Purple Train which was planned to run underground from Bhatti Gate to Lahore Airport.

A road show is also being arranged in China with regard to investment opportunities in Punjab while an international conference will be held regarding investment opportunities in Punjab in the end of current month in Provincial Metropolis.

Shahbaz Sharif said that useful meetings with Chinese leadership will yield positive results and economic cooperation will further enhance between China and Pakistan.

Provincial Ministers Rana Mashhood Ahmed, Malik Nadeem Kamran, Sheikh Alauddin, Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, PML-N Senior leader Kh. Ahmed Hasaan, Special Assistant Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, Chairman Planning and Development and secretaries of concerned departments were present on the occasion.  Commercial Consular of Pakistan in Beijing, Dr. Arfa Iqbal participated in the meeting through video link from China.
