Transparency in the utilization of public funds would be ensured : Javed Anwar

Lahore : By strengthening system of internal audit at Pakistan Railways, transparency in the utilization of public funds would be ensured. Principal officers of Pakistan Railways should confirm transparency in spending of public money. Without accountability and clear audit, organization cannot move ahead. Chief Executive Officer, Railways Muhammad Javed Anwar said on Friday at a Departmental Accounts meeting with Principal Officers, at Railways Headquarters, Lahore.

He said that present team of officers is committed to deliver and we have achieved our targets ahead of time, he further said that following laws and procedures during procurements would minimize the audit objections and built up trust of people in public organizations.

The meeting was attended by Director General Audit Samina Fayyaz, FA&CAO Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Chief Engineer Open Line Basharat Waheed, Chief Project & Planning Officer Zahoor ul Haq Khataq, Chief Marketing Manager Abdul Hameed Razi and other Seniors Officers.
