Atleast 8 people died in a heavy explosion in DHA,Lahore

Lahore : Atleast 8 people died in a heavy explosion in Z block market DHA,Lahore. A number of people also injured in the blast. Army , police and rescue teams immediately reached at the spot to save the lives of the victims and took them to nearby hospitals General and Jinnah.Emergency has been imposed in the hospital and blood donations announcements carried out.

Moazzam Bhatti, the owner of second cup international restaurant also died in Lahore bomb blast,DHA Z block .

Initially, it was said that the explosion was the result of a generator blast but later rescue 1122 spokesman declared the explosion a ” bomb blast”.

A threat alert about a terrorist activity was viral on social media for a few days ,appealing people to avoid shopping in Y block ,DHA market but the authorities neither denied nor confirmed this alert.

The bomb blast was made a very next day of the operation Radde Fassad in the country.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has condemned the terrorist activity in the heart of Lahore and sought report from IGP in this regard. He also directed best treatment facilities for the victims.

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Siraj ul Haq has also condemned the blast.

Drs strike was continued even after the blast at Services Hospital and all the departments including emergency ward remained closed for hours.
