9000 officials would conduct census in Bahawalpur Division

Lahore : A four day training workshop for the officials who would perform their duty for conduction census in Bahawalpur division would start at January 24^th. As many as 9000 officials would perform their duties for conductions census in three districts of the Division.

As many as 2671 official at District Bahawalpur, 2338 at District Bahawalnagar, 3307 at District Rahim Yar Khan while 970 would perform their duties in the Cholistan area.

This was briefed by Director Local Government Muhammad Waseem & Census Coordinator Muhammad Arshad during a meeting to review the census arrangements in Bahawalpur Division held at the conference room of commissioner here today.

Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar presided over the meeting. The meeting was briefed that commissioner Bahawalpur would supervise the census proceeding at the Division level while Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioners would supervise the census proceeding at District and Tehsil level respectively. The meeting was further briefed that Pakistan’s army official would also accompany the census field staff.

Commissioner Saqib Zafar while addressing the meeting directed that comprehensive arrangement should be made to ensure conducting census on modern & scientific line.
