Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Park earned a profit of Rs. 900 million in one year

Lahore : The 100 MW solar project installed in Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Park, Bahawalpur has earned a profit of Rs. 900 million (90 crore) in one year and a cheque for the amount was presented to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif by Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Company Chairman Arif Saeed during a briefing on the project.

The Chief Minister announced that the profit of Rs.90 crore earned from the project will be spent on healthcare system to improve health facilities provided to the people. He said each penny of the profit will be spent in a transparent manner. The amount of the profit has been deposited into the exchequer of the provincial government of the Punjab.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that the profit earned from Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Project in one year proves excellent performance of Punjab government, and the chairman of the solar power project has worked tirelessly to make the project successful.

The Chief Minister said he is very pleased that the project has earned the profit and performance of the project has remained four percent more than the target set by NEPRA. He said that Punjab government is making all-out efforts to eliminate darkness of load-shedding once and for all, and Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park is not only playing a vital role in overcoming load-shedding, but it has also earned profit that will be spent on health sector.

Shahbaz Sharif said today is the historic day and he is hopeful that the whole team of the project will continue working with the same zeal and dedication. He said that Punjab government is ensuring transparency in all the projects and it is the result of this transparency that the amount of Rs. 900 million has been deposited into the exchequer.

Chairman Planning and Development, Secretary Finance, Secretary Energy, Secretary Specialized Health and Medical Education, CEO Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
