Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal ) : The district bar association elected its new office-bearers on Saturday.
Ghulam Rasul Gondal and Mohsan Nazir Gondal were elected president and general secretary.
Advocate Ghulam Rasul secured 366 votes against his rival candidate Shahid Iqbal Gondal who got 277.
Mohsan Nazir Gondal won the election for the slot of general secretary by getting 331 votes while his rival Safdar Iqbal Gondal obtained 313 votes.
Rana Ashraf Advocate was elected vice president securing 325 votes with a lead of 4 votes against his rival candidate Umar Farooq Qureshi. Qaisar Imran won the seat of joint secretary securing 369 votes. His rival Saqib Chami got 250 votes.
In Phalia Tehsil Bar Association Saifullah Chaddar was elected president securing 183 votes, defeating his rival Ansar Mahmud who got 135 votes.
Muzammal Hussain grabbed the seat of general secretary by getting 192 votes against his rival Zaheer Tarar’s 120 votes. Sarfraz Arain was elected vice president.
Shaukat Ali Tarar and Syed Hassan Mehdi were elected as joint secretary and finance secretary respectively unopposed.
