Lahore : Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that at a time when the country was facing serious threats both from within and abroad especially the nefarious designs of India, confrontation on the political front with allegations and low mentality, were creating unrest among the masses.
In a statement here on Thursday, had the government set up a judicial commission after the Panama leaks, the political crisis would not have prolonged.
He said the civil-military relations had never been ideal. However, he said, if the civil side acted in a negative manner, the side carrying the gun would be dominant.
He said that all the democratic forces would have to rise for safeguarding the democratic system, the constitution and the judiciary. He also urged the democratic forces to sea reason and settle all issues related to economy and accountability by themselves otherwise the whole nation would have to suffer.
