Punjab govt announces financial assistance for the cylinder blast victims

Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif visited Yousaf Park Shahdara to express condolences with the bereaved families of those died due to cylinder blast. He expressed heartfelt sympathies and condolences with the bereaved families.

The Chief Minister also offered Fateha for the departed souls and gave cheques of financial assistance for Rs. 10 lakh each to the heirs of those died in the blast.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government will bear the expenditure of education of children of those died and provide free treatment facility to the bereaved families and their children. He ordered to submit investigation report of the incident within 48 hours and said that the responsible of the incident will be held accountable. He said that those who committed cruelty to their beloved ones will not be spared and awarded punishment under the law.

Shahbaz Sharif grieved over the loss of precious human lives in the tragic incident. He said that death of their beloved ones due to cylinder blast is a matter of agony and he has not words to express his sentiments. He said that no other can judge the feelings of grief received by them.

Shahbaz Sharif said that he cannot bring back their dear ones but ordered inquiry into the incident and responsible will not be spared at all. He gave cheques of financial assistance for Rs. 10 lakh to widow of Ijaz Ahmed, mother of brother and sister Asifa and Salman, Rehmat Ali, Kiran Bibi and other heirs of the persons died due to cylinder blast.

The Chief Minister also expressed love and affection to the children of those who died and consoled them. Shehbaz Sharif said that he has ordered inquiry into the deplorable incident and in the light of the report, strict action will be taken against the responsible.
