Lahore : A comprehensive strategy has been devised to sell the surplus stock of Ring Necked and Green Pheasants as Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department remained successful in breeding of these pheasants which are in thousands in its breeding centers.
This was disclosed by the Director General Wildlife and Parks Punjab Khalid Ayaz Khan while presiding over a meeting to review the progress of breeding centers of the department, in his office, here today. On this occasion, deputy director headquarters Muhammad Naeem Bhatti, Director Lahore Zoo and in charges of breeding centers were also present.
The meeting decided to sell the surplus stock of pheasants on less than the market rates and this facility of purchase would be extended to public on “first come first serve” basis. Director General Wildlife said that it’s a good opportunity for bird lovers to get their favorite birds on cheaper rates and they can contact Director Zoo Lahore and ADW Jallo Wildlife Park to purchase these pheasants.
