PITB team briefs Sindh Police about Punjab’s IT initiatives

PITB meeting with Sindh PoliceLahore : PITB team has arrived Karachi on request of Sindh government to assist the Sindh Police for replicating Punjab’s IT initiatives. The team is headed by Director General IT Operations Faisal Yosaf accompanied by General Manager Burhan Rasool, participated a marathon meeting chaired by the Inspector General Police Sindh A. D. Khawaja on Tuesday. 

The team discussed to chalk out plan for the Software development in accordance with the needs of Sindh Police. Faisal Yosaf gave a detailed presentation to the participants and told how Punjab was becoming a role model .

The meeting was also attended among others by all the AIGs, DIGs and DPOs of Sindh Police. The Punjab committed to extend its cooperation after a letter was sent to Punjab Government by the Sindh Chief Secretary Siddique Memon seeking acquisition of the software of human resource management system, complaint system, police station record management system, DIG operations system and criminal record office system being used by Punjab police.

Dr. Umar Saif, PITB told that the CM Punjab expressed exceptional pleasure and excitement on knowing that other provinces were taking interest in the successful projects of Punjab initiated for good governance, law & order and smart monitoring. “The CM especially directed PITB to extend generous cooperation all other provinces for adapting Punjab’s IT initiatives as it would ease the life of common man.” He added.
