DSP Shorkot becomes a victim of online fraud

Lahore : DSP Shorkot Saadat Ali became a victim of online fraud.He was hoodwinked by thugs and deprived of 60 thousands in the name of his friend Raja Akram,an officer of Sports Board Punjab. Shorkot Police has registered a case and started investigation.

According to the FIR,DSP Saadat Ali received a message on Facebook from his friend Raja Akram that he was in Saudi Arabia to perform Umra where his wife became ill and he need Rs 10 thousands for her treatment so the DSP sent the money from easypaisa.

Later he again received a message for Rs 50 thousands for her operation,he also paid the money.When his friend comeback, he inquired after the health of his wife than he knew that he was a victim of online fraud as someone hacked the Facebook ID of Raja Akram and got money from him.

The police have traced the woman Shumaila Amir through the SIM Number and the fraudia Jahangir Asghar through his CNIC. Both are resident of Lahore and a member of a Thug Group
