BISE Lahore declares the results of Matric Exams 2016

BISE toppers group photoLahore : Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Minister for Schools Education formally announced the result for the Secondary School (Annual) Examination, 2016 today in a ceremony held at Al-Hamra Hall No.II, Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Lahore.

The prizes, cash awards and merit certificates were distributed among the Position Holder Students of Secondary School Certificate (Annual) Examination, 2016. Dr. Muhammad Nasrullah Virk, Chairman, BISE, Lahore welcomed the honourable guests and announced the results of above said examination.

According to results, 214711 candidates appeared in the SSC (Annual) Examination, 2016 in which 153478 candidates declared successful thus the pass percentage remained 71.48%. As per details, 102780 out of 131161 candidates passed in science group, hence the pass percentage remained 78.36% while the 50698  out of  83550 candidates remained successful in Humanities Group and the pass percentage was 60.68.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, distributed the medals, cash awards and merit certificates among the Position holders. As per detail, a student of Divisional Public School and Inter College, Model Town, Lahore name Rana Omer Farman S/O Rana Farman Ali Sabir secured 1087 got overall top position in Lahore Board. Muhammad Shayan Waheed S/O Waheed Naz of DPS, Model Town, Lahore got over all second position by securing 1086 marks and Syed Momin Ali S/O Syed Javaid Shoukat and Hussnain Mushtaq S/O Mushtaq Ahmed Ch. Students of DPS, Model Town secured 1085 marks and stood overall third. The above noted students also got 1st, 2nd and 3rd Positions in Science Group among Boys. In the category of Science group among girls Semil Saleem D/O Muhammad Saleem a student of Punjab Girls High School, Johar Town, Lahore got 1st Position by securing 1083 marks, Rimsha Tahir D/O Ghulam Nabi Tahir , DPS Model Town, Lahore secured 1082 marks and got 2nd Position and Sajal Tariq D/O Muhammad Tariq, Jinnah Grammer Secondary School, Ghulam Hussain Park, Shad Bagh Lahore secured 1079 marks and stood third.

In the Humanities Group among Boys, Sabir Ali S/O Muhammad Tufail, student of Pakistan Model High School, Kasur got 1st position by securing 1034 marks, Muhammad Shahzad S/O Muhammad Iqbal, Allied School, Al-Miraj Campus for Boys, Shadman, Lahore obtained 2nd position by securing 1006 marks and Muhammad Usman S/O Khalid Zahoor, Allam Iqbal Public High School, Kasur and Allah Ditta S/O Muhammad Aslam, Govt. Public High School Nain Sukh, Lahore stood third by securing 994 marks.

In the Humanities Group among Girls, Iqra D/O Muhammad Yaseen, student of Allam Iqbal High School for Girls, Kasur got 1st position by securing 1067 marks, Ayesha Khalid D/O Khalid Mahmood , a student of Society Public Girls High School, Mughalpura, Lahore obtained 2nd position by securing 1055 marks and Areej Waseem D/O Waseem Zafar, Farooqi Girls High School Karim Park,Lahore also got 2nd position with 1055 marks  and Uzma Waris D/O Waris Masih, (Private Student) of Lahore stood third by securing 1045 marks.

1st, 2nd and 3rd Position Holders were awarded with Gold, Silver and Browns Medals along with Rs.20,000/-, Rs.15,000/- and Rs.10,000/- respectively. Merit Certificates were also awarded to the Position Holders by the Chief Guest. Overall Topper Rana Omar Farhan obtained 1087 marks under Roll No.203528, a student of Divisional Public School and Inter College, Model Town, Lahore was also awarded with a Laptop.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan appreciated the working of Lahore Board on account of declaring the R.L. Free results and congratulated the Chairman and his team.

Meanwhile ; Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated position holder boy and girl students in matriculation examination of all educational boards of the province. He said that the achievement of these students is a source of pride for their parents and teachers. He said that some of these students despite their meager resources have won top positions through their hard work and commitment which is appreciable.

The Chief Minister congratulated parents and teachers of position holder boy and girl students. Shehbaz Sharif said he believes that hard work never goes to waste in any field including education. He said that talented and hard working students are an asset and guarantee to a bright future of Pakistan. Punjab government will continue to utilize resources on such students, he added.

The Chief Minister said that these students are capable to change the course of history. He said that education is the key to progress and provision of resources for the promotion of education is a useful investment. He said that Punjab government is implementing a comprehensive programme for the promotion of education in the province.
