Barjees Tahir urges Kashmiris to vote for PML(N)

Lahore : Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Chaudhry Barjees Tahir has urged Kashmiri people to vote for Pakistan Muslim League(N) to usher in a new era of prosperity and development in their region.

Addressing a public meeting arranged by party candidate Sardar Mir Akbar Khan here, he said the people of Azad Kashmir lived through five difficult years and PPP did the politics of revenge instead of serving the people. He said Prime Minister   Muhammad Nawaz Sharif wanted equal and non-discriminatory progress in the country. He said the Indian forces were oppressing unarmed and innocent Kashmiris in Occupied Kashmir while a minister of PPP was involved in killing of workers of PML(N).He said Chaudhry Abdul Majeed should not give refuge to the Minister but hand him over to the law enforcers. He demanded arrest of the killers of his party workers.

Chief Election Commissioner should take notice of the crimes of Azad Kashmir government, he added. Workers of PML(N) were soldiers of Nawaz Sharif and Muslim League would take its revenge through vote, he added. He said PM Nawaz Sharif worked hard for Pakistan and initiated projects of motorways and power stations and forcefully presented the case of Kashmir at the forum of United Nations General Assembly.He warned officers of Azad Kashmir government to desist from following illegal orders and arrest the minister involved in the killing of workers of PML(N).He said majority of workers of Pakistan Tehreek i Insaf have joined Pakistan Muslim League(N) which would win the next elections  with heavy majority.”We will send the present government home through the ballot paper. Our leader said that we will take government not through no confidence motion but through vote of the people”. He urged people to vote for the symbol of lion and make PML(N) successful.

Barjees thanked people for attending the meeting in large numbers and said the majority has decided in favour of their candidate Mir Akbar Khan.The Minster said PPP mistreated people of the area and did not carry out any development work.Today youth needed jobs and residents of the area could not move around due to lack of bridge, he added. He said it was part of PPP culture to buy votes of the people. He said their candidate Chaudhry Aziz refused to bow before ruffians who in response shot him with bullets and injured three workers of the party.

After this barbarity, people should urge everybody not to vote for PPP, he added. He said he along with Minister Pervaiz Rashid and Dr Asif Kirmani never used official vehicles during the election campaign.The Election Commissioner should take notice that the PPP Minister nominated for murder of PML(N) workers was roaming free and was still holding the ministry, he added. He said they braved jails and difficulties in the period of Pervez Musharraf. He said elections in Kashmir would be held under the supervision of Pakistan army Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir Abdur Rasheed Turabi said they decided to support PML(N) as the party was determined to bring  change in lives of the people.  Sardar Mir Akbar said PML(N) would emerge victorious in the upcoming polls.

President PML(N) AJK Raja Farooq Haider said those who killed their party workers should be brought to justice. He pledged to bring progress and prosperity in the region of Azad Kashmir as per vision of Nawaz Sharif. He appreciated the principled stand of the government of Pakistan and Nawaz Sharif on the issue of Kashmir and said people of Kashmir were thankful to them.
