Shahbaz Sharif inaugurates 60-bed Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Raiwind

Shahbaz SharifLahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated 60-bed Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Raiwind today.

He went to different wards and reviewed medical facilities being provided in the hospital. He expressed satisfaction over the facilities being extended to the patients in the hospital and praised construction work of the building.

The Chief Minister visited various wards including emergency ward. He also went to X-ray room, Ultrasound room and laboratory. He also inspected dental clinic and directed the doctors to wear gown during duty. He directed concerned authorities to digitalize the hospital and run on the model of Indus Hospital besides all its record should be computerized.

Shahbaz Sharif directed to provide transport facility immediately to the staff and nurses coming from far away. He also talked to doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and sanitation staff and said that they are associated with a noble profession and it is the demand of this profession that they should sacrifice their all for the treatment of the patients as service to the ailing humanity is a form of worship. He said that they should work hard and with passion for providing health facilities to the patients. Their problems will be got resolved at the earliest, he added.

Talking to the sanitation staff, Shahbaz Sharif said that cleanliness is half faith therefore it is their duty to improve cleanliness arrangements in the hospital to provide hygienic environment to the patients.

Addressing inaugural ceremony, the Chief Minister said that 60-bed modern hospital has been handed over to the citizens in Raiwind as a gift. Three demands were presented during election campaign in 2013 and the promise of construction of hospital has been fulfilled, he added.

He said that now the citizens will not have to go to Lahore or any other big hospital. He said that modern facilities have been made available in this hospital and he will personally review the performance of the hospital regularly.

He said that second demand was of flyover, upon which, work will be started during the current month and it will be completed on 14 August next year. He said that delay accrued in resolving the matter of lease of shops, however, this problem has also been addressed.

The Chief Minister thanked Secretary Communications and Works, NESPAK, administration and concerned departments on completing the quality construction work of the hospital and congratulated them. He said that doctors and nurses are associated with a profession of prophets and those serving the ailing humanity earn success in this world and the world hereafter. He said that it is duty of doctors, nurses and other staff to behave patients politely as it is a great deed.

Shahbaz Sharif said that if doctors and other staff of this hospital should accept challenge of running the hospital on the pattern of  Agha Khan Hospital or Indus Hospital then he is ready to provide all out resources but it will not be operated like common government hospital. He said that a modern model has been prepared in this regard under which Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Muzaffargarh and Shahbaz Sharif Hospital Bedian Road are operated and these are run by Indus. If doctors of THQ Hospital Raiwind are ready to accept challenge and provide treatment facilities personally to the patients then he is also with them and bonus will be given to them otherwise the model of Muzaffargarh and Bedian Road Hospitals will be adopted in this hospital. This model will be enforced on August 14, 2016, he added. He said that there are often complaints regarding attendance of doctors in government hospitals but there is no such complaint in two hospitals given to the Indus.

The Chief Minister said that irrespective of construction of flyovers, bridges or roads, the nation will become healthy and strong only when education and treatment sections will give excellent results and the society cannot make progress without uplift of these sectors. That is why, he has dedicated himself for setting the hospitals right and come to the field again, he added.

Shahbaz Sharif said that he will not rest content until the last hospital is set right. He said that elite enjoy the facilities of education and treatment in the country but the children of common man are deprived of these facilities. He said this is not Pakistan, which was envisioned by Quaid, and Iqbal and our forefathers made supreme sacrifices. He said that it is a cruelty to deprive the poor people of treatment and education and it will not be tolerated.

Shahbaz Sharif said that some opponents who kept the nation in darkness for 15 years, looted billions of rupees of the nation want to indulge in the politics of protest after Eid. He said that these persons deposited billions of dollars in SWISS Banks and people have not still gotten Surrey Palace.

Those who looted hard-earned money of the people are asking for accountability, this is impossible, he added. He said that people still remember the sit-ins of 2014 when the visit of Chinese president was postponed due to these sit-ins in December 2014 and he came to Pakistan in April 2015 and signed agreements of billions of dollars with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

He said that immediate after these agreements, work was started speedily on power plants. He said that work carried out on 1320 megawatt coal power plant Sahiwal, coal power plant Port Qasim and solar project Bahawalpur is unprecedented in the history of the country. He said that thousands of megawatt electricity will be generated next year and darkness will be eliminated in Pakistan.

He said that bribe and corruption have rampant in the history of Pakistan even corruption was committed in projects of only a few crores but now when energy projects are being set up then they are perturbed that Pakistan will move ahead with the installation of projects of energy. They are afraid of that a corruption free culture is promoted, he added.

The Chief Minister said that he personally worked very hard for these projects and visited China a number of times. He said that Rs. 112 billion of the nation have been saved only in 3600 megawatt gas based projects. He said that no one has even saved Rs. 12 so far. He said that people will not allow these elements to succeed in their nefarious designs.

The Chief Minister said he is giving the message to the people that future of Pakistan is bright and journey to progress and prosperity is continuing speedily. He said that various power plants will start generating energy in 2017.

He said that 1320-megawatt Sahiwal coal power plant will be completed 6 months earlier in June 2017 instead of December 2017. He appealed to the people to become united for saving Pakistan and only due to the force of unity; all conspiracies of opponents will be foiled.

Shahbaz Sharif said that those demanding resignation from Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif should first peep into their conscience and first hold their own accountability. He said that in case of a single corruption case, father and son will live in London and America forever. He said that Pakistani nation is miserable and when facilities are being provided to it then opponents oppose. Pakistani nation will be made a great nation, he added.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Imran Khan should not tell a lie that Maryam Nawaz was there, he should speak the truth as he has been ashamed by telling a lie against a daughter and it does not behove him. He said that if opponents have to judge the miseries of the nation, they should visit hospitals, schools and Ramadan Bazaars. He said that it is very easy to talk while sitting in air-conditioned rooms. It is the duty of the entire nation to stop opponents, he added.

He said that opponents are perturbed over the development of the country and people will again foil the conspiracy of sit-ins. He said that no one can stop Pakistan progressing. He said that those who looted billions of rupees of the nation are talking about accountability. He said that those who committed corruption in the country will be held accountable.

ShahbazSharif said that with the blessings of Allah Almighty and prayers of the nation, Prime Minister Muhammad NawazSharif is recovering and soon will return to the country.
