five people die and 9 injured in two separate incident in Mandi Bahauddin

Mandi BahauddinMandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : In two separate incidents five people including a baby one and half year old died while nine persons received injuries. Reportedly an passenger van fell in Rasul – Qadirabad Link Canal near Qadirabad  Barrage resulting into death of three persons including a male baby of one and half year. People from the vicinity rushed to the scene and recovered the injured and dead bodies except body of the kid. Injured were rushed to THQ Hospital Phalia for medical treatment.

Earlier a Dumper vehicle hit electric pole in Phalia near Helan Chungi resulting into death of two persons and one injured. Police reached the spot and bodies and the injured was shifted to THQ Hospital for medico legal formalities and treatment of the injured.

Meanwhile the weather in Mandi Bahauddin district remained very hot and humid. Load shedding continued and when electricity restored it continued tripping repeatedly. People especially with fast felt hard to face the situation. People urged the rulers to remember their promises they made during election campaign and end the load shedding. They also complained about overinflated bills despite load shedding of power for 18 hours a day.

Meanwhile Jumma tul Widah was attuned by faithful amid tight security arrangement. DPO has announced red alert throughout the district. Police spokesperson told that over 1500 police personnel were deployed to guard mosques where Friday prayers were held.

Meanwhile Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Iqbal Haral has sentenced death penalty to a convict in a murder case. Fine of Rs 100,000 was also imposed. Two accused were acquitted on basis of “benefit of doubt”. The convict had murdered a woman, five years ago on domestic dispute. The incident had taken place in Bhachar village in area of Kuthiala Sheikhan.
