President Mamnoon Hussain condemns the killing of Amjad Sabri

Lahore: President Mamnoon Hussain condemned the attack. Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif took notice of the incident and demanded report of the incident from Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif  condemned the incident.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker and Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Deputy Speaker National Assembly have strongly condemned the killing of eminent Qawali Singer and Naat Khawan, Amjad Sabri who  assassinated by the unknown assailants in Karachi today.

In their separate condolence messages to the bereaved family the Speaker and Deputy Speaker strongly condemned the killing of Amjad Sabri and said that the culprits involved in this heinous incident were the enemies of peace and   humanity.  They expressed their heartfelt grief and sorrow over the tragic incident and paid rich tribute to Amjad Sabri  services in field of Qawali.   They said that vacuum created by his death is difficult  to fill for a long time to come.    They prayed almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant the courage to bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity.

Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Pervaiz Elahi have expressed their heartfelt grief and sorrow over demise of Amjad Sabri in a murderous attack and said services of Amjad Sabri will be remembered for long.

The PML leaders demanded that the killers of Amjad Sabri be apprehended immediately and sternly punished according to the law.

In their message to the bereaved family, they said they share their grief and sorrow.

Chairman PTI Imran Khan condemned the incident and stated that the attack on Sabri was a question mark over the measures taken by the provincial government to ensure peace in the province.

Imran Khan demanded that the culprits be apprehended as soon as possible and be awarded with befitting punishment.

Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan condemned the attack and condoled Sabri s death with his family members. Ch Nisar Ali Khan called DG Rangers and asked details about the killing on Sabri. He has been informed that the killing seems to be an act of terrorism. The Rangers have investigated a nearby building which it is believed that the killers had sought refuge before the killing. They have also detained several suspects from the area.

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto has expressed deep sorrow and condemnation over the killing of Amjad Sabri. He said this was a huge challenge for the writ of the state and the government over law and order situation.

Bilawal said that kidnapping of the son of Chief Justice SHC and the killing of Sabri was a conspiracy as they were specifically targeted in the incident by terrorists and their conspirators. He expressed solidarity with the family of Sabri and said that the government will make all efforts for the arrest of his assassins. He hoped that the police and other law enforcement agencies will acted to expose the killers of Sabri.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari expressed his grief over the terrible incident.

 

Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and suspended the SHO Sharifabad. He was earlier briefed by IG Sindh AD Khawaja.

The MQM has announced three days of mourning over the killing of Sabri and has suspended all political activities and events. MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that terrorists want to create an atmosphere of fear and mistrust among the people of Karachi.
