MPs of Mandi Bahauddin have neglected masses : Nadeem Afzal Chan

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : PPP leader and ex MNA Nadeem Afzal Chan has alleged that present MPs of Mandi Bahauddin have neglected masses welfare and their main focus is on how to make money from commission (kickbacks) while granting contracts of development schemes to their favorites.

He was talking to media persons here the other day. He said due to their incompetence, inefficiency and neglect University of Engineering and Technology Rasul has been downgraded to its previous status of Government Technology College.

On demand of people and students the college was upgraded to university in 2014 and above two hundred students was studying. With the closure of the university students future has been jeopardized, he regretted. He said in 2012 construction of asphalt road along railway line on Victoria bridge over River Jhelum was approved and funds were allocated for the project. In the meantime 2013 elections approached and the project could not start.

Thereafter PMLN MPS did not press for this project to start. Similarly he said new DHQ Hospital under construction was awaiting its completion for the last ten years. Huge funds allocated for the project were either diverted to other schemes or misappropriated, he alleged. He said due lack of interest in public welfare on the part of the MPs people of Mandi Bahauddin have been suffering badly.
