Charge d’affaires of Denmark Jakob Rogild Jakobsen met CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Charge d’affaires of Denmark Jakob Rogild Jakobsen met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad today. Pace of projects of generation of electricity through wind were reviewed in the meeting.

The Chief Minister said that besides traditional methods, the government is also paying attention to generation of power through alternative resources. He said that Vestas company of Denmark is working on wind power project in Punjab. He said that gas and coal based electricity plants are being set up and thousands of megawatt electricity will be available by the end of 2017. Senior officials of Vestas, Secretary Energy, Chairman Investment Board and concerned officials were also present on this occasion.
