CSNP condemns the massacre at Orlando

Abdullah Malik 2Lahore: The Civil Society Network Pakistan (CSNP) has condemned the brutal attack and worst shooting massacre of the citizens of U.S.A in Orlando that was merely a result of extremism and terrorism.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the CSNP said: “As much as CSNP is concerned it wanted to show its solidarity with the mourned families and predestined the ridiculous act shooting of extremist Omar Mateen, reportedly ideological adherent with a terrorist outfit through internet.

The act worst shooting is not only an attack on humanity, but we think it is imperative that every right-respecting person must condemn such mindset unreservedly.

“It is difficult to comprehend why the international community is taking this brutal act as an accident in U.S. while it was result a mindset that shows a zero tolerance for others. It is high time to promote harmony with interfaith respect and tolerance while condemning and elevating the Gun Culture from all over the world and further any encouragement or justification of extremism by the clerics to invite violence upon homosexual in all over the world must be curtailed through all possible means.

“Another thing that people have long wondered about is why disarmed and young innocent persons are the main focus of extremists whether it happened in Paris or Orlando. “We hope and expect that things will be different in future and the International Community will take some effective measurements by including all segments of society, especially by the governments, and that those choosing to stay silent or to support the regressive and such ridiculous acts would be judged for their stance.

“The different office bearers of CSNP including President, Abdullah Malik and General Secretary, Humayun Faiz Rasool Advocate along with President Lahore, Ms. Riffat Saud and Amna Malik have expressed their great sorrows over the untimely deaths of more than 50 citizens of U.S and in this regard a vigil has been announced to show solidarity with the mourned families.
