Lahore: Minister for Agriculture Dr. Farrukh Javed paid surprise visit to Gulshan e Ravi and Islam Pura Ramzan Bazaars today and checked the quality and availability of food items. Dr. Farrukh Javed suspended Incharge TMA Samanabad Rai Imtiaz Hassan over absence of staff, presence of expired oil and ghee in market and closure of sugar stall in Gulshan Ravi Ramzan Bazaar.
The minister directed DCO Lahore to immediately take action against responsible and ensure availability of commodities in Ramzan Bazaars.
During the visit of Islam Pura Ramzan Bazaars, people complained regarding shortage of lemons over which Dr. Farrukh Javed expressed his serious displeasure and asked the administration to ensure the availability of lemons in Ramzan Bazaars. Minister for Agriculture checked the efficiency Medical camp at the Ramzan Bazaar by asking the staff to check his blood pressure.
The staff at medical camp was found to be inexperience so the minister directed to ensure the presence of experienced staff at medical camps. Agriculture Minister told the media representatives present in the bazaar that the Punjab Government is focusing on providing relief to masses through efficient follow up of the Ramzan Bazaars across the province. He said that the agriculture fair price shops are providing exemplary relief to citizen.
He went to stalls and checked the quality of food items and asked the people regarding their issues. He said that strict action is being taken against profiteers all over the province. He said that government representatives are keeping a strict check on Ramzan Bazaars and open market to ensure availability of quality food items on fixed prices. He said that provincial ministers and other senior officials are monitoring the Ramzan Bazaars all over the province to ensure transparency. He said that a large number of people are visiting Ramzan Bazaars which is a positive sign.
