Lahore: Provincial ministers and members Punjab Assembly have termed Federal Budget 2016-17 as balanced and farmers-friendly.
In their separate statements, they have appreciated Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on presenting a balanced budget in difficult circumstances.
Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government has won hearts of the farmers by giving unprecedented relief and incentives to the agriculture sector in Budget 2016-17. He said that decrease in the rates of power tariff, fertilizers and other agri inputs will provide relief to the farming community and agri production will increase.
Provincial Minister for Zakat & Usher Malik Nadeem Kamran said that presentation of a public-friendly budget is an achievement of PML-N. Minister for Minorities Affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu said that new budget will benefit all segments of society. He said that though the process of recovery of revenue was affected due to flood and other natural calamities but the government has fulfilled its promise of provision of relief to the masses.
Spokesman Punjab Government Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri said that federal budget is people-friendly and aimed at national development. He said that due attention have been paid to development of infrastructure, energy and human resource while a historic package has been given for agriculture sector. Minister for Food Bilal Yasin said that decrease in the prices of agri inputs and power tariff for tube-wells will result in prosperity of farmers. He said that rate of Urea bag from 2050 to 1400 is an achievement of PML-N government.
Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Rana Muhammad Arshad said that budget will open new avenues of development. Minister for Special Education Asif Syed Manais said that interest of deprived segments of society have been safeguarded in the budget. He said that special conveyance allowance of Rs. 1000 for special persons is an important step of PML-N government.
Member Punjab Assembly Uzma Bukhari said that Budget 2016-17 is balanced and people-friendly. Member Assembly Adnan Farid said that withdrawal of tax on laptops and computers with promote information technology in the country.
