Lahore: PML-N leader and member of Cantonment Board Chaklala Khalid Mehmood Butt on Sunday said that increased protest against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is against the national interests. Opposition continue to damage developmental agenda of the government for petty gains, he lamented.
Speaking at Pakistan Economy Watch forum, he said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has bailed out Pakistan when it was on the brink of being declared a failed state to become founder of new and stabilised Pakistan.
Khalid Mehmood Butt said that protest against the PM continue to hit government’s developmental agenda as well as important projects like CPEC therefore opposition should confine its activities to National Assembly.
Continued disapproval against the PM will damage his agenda of bringing stability by curbing economic terrorism which is widely supported by the masses. PM has ensured peace in Karachi and revived confidence of investors after a long time through difficult decisions, he noted.
Government and Army are on the same page after a long time which is ensuring stability of a country which was destined to become bankrupt few years back. He lauded the decision of the Prime Minister to respond to the queries of opposition in the National Assembly.
He said that Pakistan cannot afford absence of our leaders as it would be very damaging.
