500th office of Akhuwat inside Wazir Khan Mosque

Lahore: The office of the Akhuwat (organization for providing interest free loan) has been opened inside the Wazir Khan Mosque. This is the 500^th office of Akhuwat.

This time the focus of the Akhuwat is to work for the welfare of the people of the walled city of Lahore. Almost 5000 families of Androon Lahore will be taking interest free loan from Akhuwat.

Akhuwat has always been opening an office next to a Mosque to ensure the followings of Islam and interest free loan. This time inside the walled city the space of Wazir Khan Mosque has been provided to them. The inauguration of the 500^th office was done by the Director General Walled City of Lahore Authority, Kamran Lashari on Sunday at 10:30 am.

Kamran Lashari: This is a good initiative taken by Akhuwat for the welfare and well being of the community of the walled city of Lahore. I think this will help in building up a better future of the people and their generations ahead. With this money I am sure most of the people would be starting new businesses and I am hopeful that their standard of living will be improved.

Zarqa Tahir (Representative Akhuwat): it is set up inside the grand Mosque so that we and the people can relate to the Islamic values and have a surety that all the loans will be interest free and as per the teachings of Islam. I am grateful to the walled city of Lahore authority for providing us a place and extending their support in all the matters.

Muhammad Khalil Aslam (resident of walled city): I am one of the people  who have been given this interest free loan by Akhuwat. I will be using this loan to start a small business. I am grateful to the walled city of Lahore authority and Akhuwat for giving many of us this facility.

Afshan Mehmood (resident of walled city): I am the only bread earner of the house as my husband passed away three years ago. Now with this loan I can manage the schooling of my children and also start some work at home. I am planning to start a beauty parlor at my home. This all has been possible because of the Akhuwat and walled city of Lahore authority.
