Lahore: The 3-day Inter-collegiate Speech Contest arranged by Amir-ud-Din Medical College/Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) has concluded. Students of 40 educational institutions took part in the competition. The Urdu speech contest was won by University of Engineering & Technology while in English language debating contest the team of FAST University was declared the winner.
Addressing the concluding ceremony, Advisor on Health Kh. Salman Rafique said that speech contests promote the culture of healthy competition as well as give self-confidence to the participants. He said that it also promotes understanding about each other’s viewpoints.
Kh. Salman Rafique further said that such competitions also develop a spirit of acquisition of knowledge and research among the students which polishes their abilities.
Principal Amir-ud-Din Medical College Prof. Khalid Muhammad and Prof. Ghaus-ud-Nabi Tayyab also spoke on the occasion.
