Lahore: Hailey College of Banking and Finance has celebrated 13th anniversary at the college.
The event started with the recitation of Holy Qur’an and Naat-e-Rasool followed by National Anthem. Mr. Muhammad Ikram, EVP of Century Insurance Company Limited was the guest of the event.
About 400 students and Faculty members participated. PU HCBF Principal Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan highlighted the invaluable and tireless efforts, sacrifices and courage of Muslims of subcontinent through which they acquired Pakistan. He shared various glimpses from the national movement and excerpts from Quaid’s sayings.
He said that superior leaders like Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal, who once were propounders of Hindu-Muslim unity, were compelled to believe that Muslims need a separate homeland.
He stressed upon students to work hard and excel in higher education for achieving unique position in the society and enlighten their country’s name in the world in order to negate the negative image about Pakistanis. At the end cake for the college’s anniversary was cut by the principal.
